I don't like jams much so sometimes I have fresh dates all soft and overflowing with their sweet syrup used as a spread instead of jams.
This Persian/Iranian bread called Barbari is a popular choice specially between the Turk ethnic groups in Iran, it is also my favourite too!
Crispy on the outside and soft inside it gives you the best of both textures in one bite and the seeds on top just add to the great flavour of this type of bread!
A cup of sweetened tea is a must for any Persian breakfast!!
