It's my favourite winter tart,made with a pâte sucrée,frangipane,tart apple jam,and apple slices on top.I will never get tired with this. However,I absolutely wouldn't mind a variation,so when I saw Machiko's apple tart with yuzu,I was hooked,I'm a yuzu fan,I just wasn't sure how apple and yuzu together,but I trust Machiko's taste,I went ahead and made it. There is no yuzu jam available here,I used Korean yuzu cha,to glaze the top the apple slices with. Have to say I like this a lot,my beloved apple tart is graced with a subtle yuzu flavour. Hi Machiko,原來蘋果跟柚子很配合的！這次的柚子茶只用作glazing， 用攪拌器打爛，柚子皮基本上都看不到的。雖然不放玉桂，總覺得缺少了些什麼的，但配上柚子很和風的，跟一貫法式的很不一樣！ 謝謝你的提供，我可以為平凡的蘋果撻加點新意思，
It's Machiko San's idea,apple tart adding some yuzu element,I am fan of both apple tart and yuzu,I have to try them together,glad you like it too! These are the layers,frangipane is the almond cream,then a sour apple jam,then the apple slices on top and glazed with yuzu cha,the pate sucree is the French term for the sweet pastry/tart shell,very commonly used for tarts!
